copy-paste rpg assets to test the "rolling brawl", a menu-driven puzzle that pilots a brutal physics-based fight montage which dynamically adjusts to the 3D environment. MULTIPLAYER VS ONLY in this prototype. Full game is aimed for more pve with destructible environments, alliance shifting mechanics.... whole story kinda trippy... you're a criminal but not really so become a fugitive, then actually not really cuz its not a prison, it's a game. so you beat the game but not really cuz it's not actually a game, its a trap but not for you. so you're good but your friend thinks you're friends, so you help escape the trap, delay the wipe, breach the portals, build a RCK to datamine The Decimal for intel on the Last Hallucymulation so you can destroy the objective that's generating bad vibes before I'm gonna break your fourth wall. Nanarchy is “Stylized Action vs Real-Time Strategy”, a 3rd person action-adventure designed to play with a controller. A shooter at heart that strays as close-quarters combat can be handled with intense puzzle or brawler melee. You play as a fugitive recruited to join a super-powered black ops paramilitary group called “Roughouse”. Your mind is scattered across the Hallucymulation and after collecting your thoughts, you find yourself wearing comic book skin in a video game prison and someone wants to fight! Hand-drawn pages are corrupted by pixel art but brutal cartoon violence knocks the bits out of them, crashing enemies into each other, into obstacles, through walls, down the stairs and off into the horizon. Harsh language and deadpan humor accompany classical music and 90s gangster lyrics. The character grows in curiosity as the enemies appear to be alternative versions of themselves and grows in power by managing resources when safe to do so. Slapstick and psycho-lectric attacks are your tools to escape before you are overwhelmed as the horde aspect is a looming timer… Can you escape with your life or will you be overrun? Have the ReignD.E.E.R. come to help? Who's NightShade?

MULTIPLAYER VS ONLY in this prototype. No enemies or objectives.

.... still here? well, this game started with a passion for a single innovative mechanic turned epic campaign to show it off. I thought of a puzzle-based melee that occurred when attempting to shoot in close range, forcing a player to consider the distance from their target for strategy. I then asked “why, how, and what else?” and laid out the basics of several other systems and how this puzzle-based melee would function in their presence for fun. Then I started making blanks, then filling in the blanks with the molecules of the character and environment before realizing I had no objective, other than to see what happens when the character meets the environment. Then I came up with an objective that suited the dynamic nature of character/environment, and then obstacles that confounded the character. And then, I couldn’t settle on how to timer or tutorial so now there are five levels each with a different timer laid out intuitively. Then I realized I'd focused on mechanics, gameplay, onboarding, and retention structurally, but needed at least a blurb to get started. And a blurb wouldn't really suffice since it's gone from mechanic to campaign and i do be writing so i went back in time and wrote some books so people would know my story wasn't ai-generated. But this is the first time I got this mechanic out of my head and into my hands. Doesn't quite work right yet, no music though amusing and that cover img is 1002.o7% ai-generated fixed. But the video is real and the game will be damn cool when i'm finished, I'm actually quite brilliant. Support your local Specalst!
